Workshops

Join us for in-person lantern building workshops and create your lantern for the 23rd Annual Night of Dread Pageant on October 29th. The theme of our lanterns for this year’s Night of Dread will be “Creatures of the Night.” Families, adults and teens are all welcome. Suitable for kids 8 and older. NOTE: Children must have an adult with them to work together to create their lantern.

WORKSHOP LOCATION
In-person Lantern Making Workshops will take place outdoors under the Fieldhouse on the west side of the Dufferin Grove soccer field, Workshops are limited to 15 people. Dates for the workshop are as follows:

  • Saturday, October 8 & Sunday, October 9 – 11am to 4pm
  • Saturday, October 15 & Sunday, October 16 – 11am to 4pm
  • Saturday, October 22 & Sunday, October 23 – 11am to 4pm

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE WORKSHOP

  • Families, adults and teens are all welcome. Suitable for kids 8 and older. NOTE: Children must have an adult with them to work together to create their lantern.
  • Set aside at least 2 or 2.5 hours to build your lantern and then decorate it.
  • Our artist facilitators will take you through all of the making steps.
  • Also, all materials will be supplied at the workshop. Just bring yourself.
  • This is a FREE event.

DONATIONS WELCOME
Clay and Paper Theatre is a not-for-profit theatre company with charitable status. If possible, we would be extremely grateful for donations for the workshop. Suggested donation is $10/person.
