Accessibility Guide
We’ve created an Accessibility Guide to help you better prepare for the performances presented by Clay and Paper Theatre in Dufferin Grove Park. This guide will be especially helpful if this is your first time coming to Dufferin Grove Park and watching one of our shows.

Visual Guide
This year we will create a new Visual Guide for our 2023 summer show, Animal Nature. This will give you an introduction to the major visual elements and puppets of the show, as well as provide you with a breakdown of Animal Nature through character and scene summaries. Please stay tuned for the launch of this new guide on July 22nd.
Last year’s Visual Guide to the show, Art Ambulance, is still available below and is an example of what to expect for the new Guide.

Touch Tours
This summer Clay and Paper Theatre is offering six Touch Tours before performances of our show, Animal Nature. The Touch Tours have been designed to enhance the play-going experience of audience members who are seniors and or have a visual impairment. The Tour will give audience members a chance to become familiar with the different play characters, puppet shapes and sizes, musical cues and to get a sense of the performance environment. And as suggested, the Tour will also give participants as much tactile discovery opportunities as possible.
- Each Touch Tour has a maximum of 10 participants.
- They will take place before the show begins and will be approximately 30 minutes long.
- Each Touch Tour will run from 6:00 – 6:30 PM. Each Animal Nature performance begins at 7pm.
- The Tour will be lead and facilitated by our Accessibility and Outreach Engager.
- Clay and Paper Theatre performers from the show Animal Nature will also assist as Touch Tour guides.

If you have any questions regarding the Touch Tour please reach out to soka.clayandpaper@gmail.com or call us at 416-708-3332. If you cannot reach us immediately by phone, please leave a message and we will return your call within one business day.
Please note that at this time and due to limited funding, Clay and Paper Theatre will not be able to offer descriptive audio performances of Art Ambulance.
As the pandemic effects communities in different ways, we will continue to practice COVID safety protocols. If you require face masks to participate in our Touch Tours, we will have face masks on-site for participants to wear. All staff who will be facilitating the Touch Tours will also be masked. We ask that participants hand sanitize before touching the different props and puppets that will be made available during the tour. Hand sanitizer will also be available for everyone.
