Accessibility Guide

We’ve created an Accessibility Guide to help you better prepare for the performances presented by Clay and Paper Theatre in Dufferin Grove Park. This guide will be especially helpful if this is your first time coming to Dufferin Grove Park and watching one of our shows.

Visual Guide

This year we have also created a Visual Guide to the show, Art Ambulance. This will give you an introduction to the major visual elements and puppets of the show, as well as provide you with a breakdown of Art Ambulance through scene summaries.

Touch Tours

This summer Clay and Paper Theatre is offering Touch Tours before performances of our show, Art Ambulance. The Touch Tours have been designed to enhance the play going experience of audience members who are seniors and or have a visual impairment. The Tour will give play goers a chance to become familiar with the different play characters, puppet shapes and sizes, musical cues and to get a sense of the performance environment. And as suggested, the Tour will also give participants as many tactile discovery opportunities as possible.

  • Touch Tours for Art Ambulance this summer will take place Saturday, August 6, Friday, August 12 and Saturday, August 13.
  • Each Touch Tour has a maximum of 8 participants.
  • Tours will take place before the show begins and will be approximately 45 minutes long.
  • Each Touch Tour will run from 5:30 – 6:15 PM.
  • The Tour will be lead and facilitated by our Accessibility and Outreach Coordinator.
  • Clay and Paper Theatre performers from the show Art Ambulance will also assist as Touch Tour guides.

If you would prefer to speak to someone instead of using this form to book a tour, please ring us at 416-708-3332. If you cannot reach us immediately, please leave a message and we will return your call within one business day.

Please note that at this time and due to limited funding, Clay and Paper Theatre will not be able to offer descriptive audio performances of Art Ambulance.

Clay and Paper Theatre COVID-19 policy requires that all Touch Tour participants, including guides, wear a face mask during the tour. We will have extra masks onsite if you require one. We also ask that participants hand sanitize before touching the different props that will be made available during the tour. Hand sanitizer will also be available for everyone.
